My longest writing streak happened between June 2015 and November 2019. It lasted 1,609 days, 230 weeks. During that period, I wrote and published 100 titles, mostly erotica under a pen name.
I ended the streak on purpose. Mostly because I needed the reset. And then 2020 hit—I started another decent streak during the pandemic. I wrote a story a week, plus published a bunch of trunk novels that had been on hard drives for over a decade. I blame the end of that streak on a toxic relationship, which is another story in itself.
Now I find myself in a new phase of my life. I’m happier and far healthier. I married my heart mate, and in another month we’re expecting our first baby.
And I’ve still never published a book under my name: Danika Marie Brown.
I want to restart not only my content creation, but also the publishing business I created. To do that, I started up another streak this last October. I started slow, and still going slow. This blog is my attempt at keeping myself honest and on task.
So, every Sunday I’ll post the last week’s progress (or lack thereof).
The streak so far:
Began October 8, 2023
98 days, 14 weeks
16 pages this month
105 pages total for streak
Last week I added 9 pages.
